Video: Why Packaging Matters, Cleanroom Wipers

Pegasus Creates New Videos Filmed at Valutek

Our friends at Pegasus Cleanroom Services provide critical environment cleaning services and information for Biomedical Facilities, Data Centers, Cleanrooms and Electronic Manufacturing Facilities.  The Pegasus team has just updated their online experience by adding a new look and feel to their website. The approach of Pegasus was to make their information easier to find, as well as bringing new information to the table.  The newly created site contains a page of informative videos that were filmed at Valutek’s very own cleanroom.  The videos provide information on everything about proper gowning, cleaning solution preparation and the process of cleaning walls, floors and surfaces.  Look around their new website and let Pegasus know what you think!

How are Gloves Made?

Today Valutek is bringing you a very informative and interesting video that takes you behind the scenes of glove production. Nearly 27 billion disposable gloves were sold in the United States alone, this Valutek sponsored video shows the complete process of how disposable gloves are created. The video shows the complete process that starts with the cleaning of the forms through nitric acid, nylon brushes and filtered water then ends with the final product being blown off at the finish of the dip-line. The video shows this amazing process that involves 4,800 formers and produces approximately 10,200 gloves in a single hour!

The video above is also located on the Valutek website by clicking here. If you would like to view more videos you can follow us on VodPod, follow us on Youtube, visit the Valutek website or go to gsfcc.org and watch the featured GSFCC Videos section on the main page. Also do not forget to visit the Global Society for Contamination Control (GSFCC) at Semicon West 2011 July 12-14 in San Francisco, California. The GSFCC’s booth will be located at the north Hall of the Moscone Center at booth N4.

Valutek Releases New Video: Proper Cleanroom Wiping Technique

Did you know there is a right way and a wrong way to wipe a cleanroom surface? Doing it the “wrong” way means wasting wipers and risking spreading contamination throughout the cleanroom instead of removing it.

The “right” way involves a simple technique in which the operator uses one wiper surface per one-way swipe. And when the wiper is folded in the correct fashion, an operator can get eight clean swipes per cleanroom wiper.

Valutek has released a short how-to video demonstrating this technique, narrated by CEO Greg Heiland. Watch the wrong way to use a wiper on a surface covered in red Kool-Aid powder and see for yourself the mess created. Then watch the right way demonstrated and see the difference!
